Our Story
The Ashfield Multicultural Community Centre (AshfieldMCC) was born from a heartfelt vision shared by a group of dedicated individuals who recognised a deep need in the Ashfield area. UK is known for embracing diversity, culture and people from different faiths. Over the years, Ashfield has expanded in its diversity and multiculturalism with a growing community, creating a need for inclusive services and community support. With there being no existing prayer facility or community centre to support the local diverse population and the wider community, the community members united to secure the first and only dedicated space designated to support and embrace Ashfield’s increasing diverse community.
The centre will be more than just a building, it’s a home for connection and a beacon of support. Rooted in compassion, inclusivity, and service. AshfieldMCC aims to be a place where everyone is welcome regardless of ethnicity, or background, a space where people can learn, worship, find support, and build lasting community bonds.
The centre will be serving the needs of the community across Sutton-in-Ashfield, Huthwaite, Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Mansfield, Pinxton, Alfreton, Ripley, Pleasley, Selston and South Normanton.
